[edit] When we meet

Each month we meet at various locations in the central Florida area. Please view our calendar[1] on the forum, or check our news page[2] on the website to see the date and time of the next meeting.

[edit] Where we meet

We meet primarily at Bass Pro,Gander Mountain and Mosquito lagoon. Locations with maps are listed on the meetings page of our website[3]

[edit] What we do

Each meeting we feature a guest speaker to educate and entertain. In the past we have had many guest speakers such as Captain Tom Van Horn from Coastal Angler magazine[4], Captain Chris Myers, Steve Chapman from Boodreaux's Boondocques[5], Captain Rodgers from the Hawgwild Show[6], Rick Roberts from the Snook Foundation[7], Rod Price with the Friends of the Wekiva[8], Mary Carswell, the kayak instructor amongst others.

They have covered subjects ranging from kayaking technique, conservation, instructions on using specific lures & retrieval techniques all the way to the methods to locate predatory fish in the lagoon system.

After the “seminars we quickly cover a few club topics and begin with introducing new club members.

We finish the meeting with a free-for-all chaos of simultaneous fishing discussions.

We also always have OKFC stickers for sale. Please keep in mind that these purchases go directly to the club to keep our website running and additional development of future club activities.like making group custom essays. We also give out our awesome kayak club business cards for you to use to promote the club. Our very own club member Richard Kelley of Ford Press was so kind to produce and donate these cards to us at no charge. read more about the reasons to buy essays from the leader is the industry.

Be sure to check our forum for updates on club events[9], tips[10], finding a fishing partner[11], fishing reports[12] and share ideas on rigging.

We have recently begun the development of the OKFC Wiki, our own repository of knowledge for our passion of kayak Fishing. This is open to all members willing to contribute their writing skills and expertise.
